Okay, the Traveler SPEEDSTER is flat out fun to play. Period. Months ago, I bought one as a demo for a customer, and since then, it's always been plugged in, out in the living room, ready to go. It's just the kind of guitar that makes you want to pick it up and play... just to see how it sounds. Amazing. And seriously fun.

The entire body of this instrument is made of solid Eastern American Hard Maple (sometimes called 'hard rock' or 'curly maple). Expensive as it is resonant, this maple gives this guitar stunning, mind-boggling sustain.

Think about it: with this design, there's no massive body that can absorb the delicate vibrations of the strings. Instead, all of the mechanical energy stays in the strings -- leaving them free to ring like a bell.

A specially-designed dual-rail humbucker pickup near the bridge grabs tone seldom heard from an electric guitar.

A detachable 'wing' arm-rest makes this guitar incredibly comfortable and natural to play... and okay, it looks really cool too.

Body

Here it is: the lightest and easiest to carry/stash/play offering from the Traveler Guitar family.

The UltraLight has a full 24 3/4" scale length, with a solid Rosewood fretboard and medium ("Martin" sized) frets. Action set perfectly. Plays like a dream.

This guitar sports a special under-saddle Shadow Piezo pickup that brings the woody-acoustic warmth of a full-size steel-string guitar. The standard input jack is at the tail of the guitar, and it doubles as the strap button.

The detachable chrome lap-rail provides a comfortable position for playing this guitar while sitting.

As with the other guitars in the Traveler Guitar family, the solid Eastern American Hard Maple body gives this instrument a solid resonance. With the specially-designed Shadow Piezo pickup, this guitar can sound more 'acoustic' than a traditional acoustic guitar!
