Bob Wiley's design for the MiniSTAR line of guitars builds on the inspiration of the Traveler guitars: full-size fretboards, coupled with innovative engineering to make a 'minimalist' version of a guitar. Just the stuff that needs to be present to make it a complete guitar; nothing more, nothing less. And with careful engineering and his overseas connections, Bob Wiley engineered these guitars to be affordable as well as portable. Our special Internet pricing means that all of these guitars are less than $150. These are not toys: the MiniSTAR guitars are another category of guitar. Carefully crafted pickups to create the tone that emulates some of the world's best-loved electric guitars. And coupled with amazing sustain that can only be had with a minimized solid Maple body design. Yes: the body of the MiniSTAR guitars is a single piece of solid Eastern 'Hard Rock' Maple (sometimes called 'curly maple') - one solid piece, where the grain of the wood runs the length from the bridge to the headstock. Our special Internet pricing for the MiniSTAR guitars starts at $149.99. NOT a misprint. $149.99 |

Retail: $189.99 This is the guitar that's the foundation of the MiniSTAR series: the Rokstar. The least-expensive and most elemental of the MiniSTAR series, the RokSTAR is one solid piece Eastern Maple (also known as "hard rock" or "curly" maple). This wood is extremely dense and resonant, and is expensive as it is beautiful. A custom-designed P-90 style pickup gives this guitar a solid '50s vintage vibe, and provides clear, bell-like overtones. We were blown away when we plugged in the RokSTAR to our Fender Bassman for the first time. The sound out of this RokSTAR is simply amazing... and certainly not heard at this price! The P-90 style pickup is true to its heritage, and features adjustable pole pieces for each string. The bridge and the nut are adjustable, making it easy to set the action how you like it: right down on the frets for easy play, or higher up for slide work. The full-size, "Fender scale" neck (25 1/2") features medium frets that are beautifully finished and leveled. An internal truss rod means you can adjust the neck perfectly for your favorite strings, and that the neck can stay "right on" for years and years of travelin' rockin'! The concentric volume and tone knobs are near the pickup, and right at your fingertips for adjustment, without being in the way of fast strums or pick work. |

| MiniSTAR LeSTAR | |||||||||||||||
Retail: $209.99 Imagine a Gibson Les Paul model stripped to its bare essentials. The "set neck" design becomes the "body" of the guitar, because it's all one piece of solid maple! Add two custom humbuckers that are carefully tuned to emulate the sound of Gibson's legendary solid-body guitar, and you have the "LeSTAR" (get it? Les-Star?). The high-output humbucker pickups are based on the powerful Alnico V-magnets. Specially-designed windings make these pickups scream, while maintaining carefully-articulated punch on the bass and mids. The highs soar with ringing sustain and harmonics. Rock the selector switch back to the 'bridge' position, and that humbucker will provide the high, articulated output that can drive your amp and effects pedals into insane, overdrive heaven. The bridge and the nut are adjustable, making it easy to set the action how you like it: right down on the frets for easy play, or higher up for slide work. The full-size, "Gibson scale" neck (24 3/4") features medium frets that are beautifully finished and leveled. Like all MiniSTAR guitars, an internal truss rod means you can adjust the neck perfectly for your favorite strings, and that you can tweek the adjustment to stay "right on" for years and years of easy-play perfection. Simpy stated, this is a crazy-simple instrument that is compact and ready for travel. Here's the Gibson Les-Paul sound - that usually weighs 8-10 pounds - in a 3 pound profile package. At an amazingly affordable price, with a padded carry-case, and all the stuff that you need to plug in and ROCK.

| MiniSTAR CaSTAR | |||||||||||||||
Retail: $220 This is one of the most interesting and advanced of the MiniSTAR series: the CaSTAR. Modeled on the features of the Fender Stratocaster, the CaSTAR is one solid piece Eastern Maple (also known as "hard rock" or "curly" maple). The fretboard is topped with solid Rosewood: important to get that 'Strat sound out of any instrument!. Three custom-designed single-coil pickups gives this guitar a real Fender vibe, and provides clear, bell-like overtones. As with all MiniSTAR guitars, the sound is the real feature. This CaSTAR "nails" the Strat sound. We plugged one into our reference Fender Bassman, the sound out of this CaSTAR is beyond comprehension! The three custom single-coil pickups are positioned in exactly the right spacing and angle to mimic the 'Strat sound. Careful attention to the coils and windings complete the sound signature. The 'Strat-style 5-way switch combines the pickups in the intermediate settings, and YES - you get that 'hum-canceling' sound on the 'tween settings. The bridge and the nut are adjustable, making it easy to set the action how you like it: right down on the frets for easy play, or to raise the strings for slide work. YES - it has the 'Strat Trem (or 'Whammy Bar'). This trem is adjustable, as is the action of the springs. To us, including this feature is unbelievable on a guitar this size. It works. And you absolutely have to play to believe it. The full-size, "Fender scale" neck (25 1/2") features medium frets that are beautifully finished and leveled. An internal truss rod means you can adjust the neck perfectly for your favorite strings, and that the neck can stay "right on" for years and years of that great MiniSTAR sound. The concentric volume and tone knobs are near the pickup, and right at your fingertips for adjustment, without being in the way of fast strums or pick work. |
